Where Do We Go From Here?
A Collective Lack of Empathy for the Death of UHS CEO, Brian Thompson

Writing about something different today. Not everything spiritual has to be about rocks, stars, and horseshoes lol. 💎🌟🎠
As news came through this past week surrounding the details of the death of UHS CEO Brian Thompson came through, everyone has been noticing an astonishing collective theme.
The lack of empathy for the death of a millionaire.
I had inner conflicts and real-time conversations with different people. If you’re familiar with the vibe that I share on Instagram Stories, I have a deep interest in human rights and the history of social inequities. I tend to lend a spiritual lens to them.
Spiritual Lens meaning, what is bubbling up inside of me (us) that wants to be recognized by me (us).
My Parts (context: Parts Work) with their different voices started sharing input:
My Empowered/Rebellious Self: Yesss! Stick it to the “man!” They can’t shut us down and keep us quiet forever! Karma is a bitch! (Oof! 😅)
My Humanitarian Side: Did we just cheer for the death of a fellow human? We know nothing about him. For all we know, he could’ve been an okay human doing right by his family.
My Nursing Background Side: I know what it feels like to be demonized. People don’t know me, and they think I’m out to get them. I was doing what I was taught was right, but now after all my years … Idk …
Then, My Reflective/Spiritual Side took a step back and observed more information. There have been collective shifts astrologically (Mercury Rx & Mars Rx), and the Earth’s electromagnetic field has been hyperactive this past week (Nasa on The Schuman Resonance). The collective is going through it. And on an individual level.
If you have been forced to slow down by life, in the form of emotions, health events, life life-ing; take it as a sign to do so. Take it slow, take it easy, reevaluate, and reflect on your year in the present. Observe all the actions that created our present moment before we keep bustling forward. Mars Retrograde is going to be around until the end of February.
This side of me felt at odds with my other parts. Am I enjoying this too much? I noticed myself giggling at a (riff off of Cowboy Bebop) meme, Oof again. Then I remembered that the internet is a reflection of the Collective Subconscious. All the unsaid thoughts laid bare in the Cloud away from face-to-face niceties. The Collective’s lack of empathy is the Truth of how we feel in a system that puts human shareholders first at the expense of humans making ends meet.
My thoughts curtsied against the ideals of Nice versus Kindness.
Nice is being polite when, in your insides, you loathe this person. It’s a form of people-pleasing.
Kindness is being genuine out of concern for another. And that could look like sharing with honesty even though it hurts their feelings.
The Internet seems to me a blessing in disguise even though there are a lot of “uglies” in there. These last 4 years have been the unveiling of a lot of ugly truths from the top down, systemic, collective, and individual. It’s not something to dismiss as this other person’s “mental health thing.” It’s energies that have been percolating in all of our Subconscious Minds for longer than we realize. And The Thoughtless Scroll, as we have all done at one point or another has left a mark on our Subconscious.
And the Kindnesses I see in people sharing their feelings is that, across the board, the truth of a common sentiment regarding the Healthcare system. Even after a very divisive election last month.
We all know someone who suffered from the Healthcare system as it stands. Whether it be financially, emotionally, or life-threatening. As a patient or a provider in the system.
In a recent podcast episode, I shared that the system as it stands is unsustainable. The Pandemic showed us that. We all know at least one person who had their savings wiped out or lost a house because of a huge health event. The culture of reactive solutions is starting to die already, and a lot of people are stepping into a proactive preventative maintenance mindset. Folks are choosing to look for solutions that work for them regardless of what the system says, and to me, that is so beautiful.
As large events continue to happen, people are going to continue waking up more to themselves and figuring out truths for themselves. We are no longer looking up and outside of ourselves for our answers. And that has been the greatest gift of this very seemingly dark year(s). Blessings in the shadows.

What was your Blessing in the Shadows this year?
How were you being Nice?
How were you being Kind?
What are things you share on the (Collective Subconcious) Internet that you wouldn’t dare out loud? Why is that?
